Tall gums rise through dense layers of fern and undergrowth, their trunks disappearing into a landscape softened by mist. The forest feels enclosed and abundant, with shifting greens broken by touches of pale light, muted blue and soft violet in the distance.
Loose, layered brushwork captures the tangled nature of the rainforest — foliage growing over foliage, light filtering unevenly through the canopy, and the landscape gradually dissolving into the haze beyond.
There is a quiet, almost hidden quality to the scene, capturing Mt Daragh not as a grand view, but from within — surrounded by the cool, dense stillness of the forest.
